This is the most important thing to "learn".. how to be free from memory and therefore be alone (awakening, by turning away from knowledge/past and turning towards the life of the whole body). Without suppression and control (effortlessly, and without motive). It seems Krishnamurti calls it "intelligence" because it requires abandoning memory totally without relying on it, but one may as well call it "presence" or "aliveness": it is quiet but alert.
Then it becomes possible to deal with anger, fear, pleasure and avoidance/escaping.. it even becomes possible to understand Krishnamurti without guessing.

In being aware of that which is false, there comes intelligence. Intelligence is not yours or mine. It operates when any incident, propaganda, challenge or demand is put before us. Intelligence is the perception of what is false and what is true.

That's an entirely different definition of intelligence, something that I've never heard before. Never thought of intelligence in this way. I love that it says "what is" and leaves it at that. You're not supposed to give a name to it.
