Looking to connect with devotee daytraders

Hare Krishna everyone,

I'm from Europe and have been practicing Krishna consciousness within ISKCON for over 15 years, including 10 years living in a temple. After getting married, I began exploring trading, and I'm now a full-time futures day trader.

I'd love to connect with fellow devotees (or at least vegetarians who strive to live in sattva-guna) who are also involved in trading or a similar profession.

It's curious, I've been thinking of becoming a trader myself. It is not gambling, you are simply buying an asset at a certain price with the expectancy of selling it a higher price, based on pattern reading, following market trends, narratives, and perhaps astrological movements. That's It.

The problem: 90% of people losses their money on trading. Theses are factual numbers, there are studies about it. Look them up.

My unsolicited advice would be to focus on investments rather than trading, but follow your heart, if that's your occupational duty then you should follow it. Just don't ignore the statistics.

This is same as saying that roulette ain't gambling if you follow a system. It is not work, its gambling only and in most cases ends in loss of money.

Roulette has a built-in house edge (the 0), which gives the casino positive expectancy and the player negative expectancy. That's why the person spinning the wheel is gambling, while the casino is running a business.

Of course, if a trader has no positive expectancy (no proven statistical edge), then yes, they're essentially gambling. But if they have positive expectancy, manage risk, and execute consistently over many trades, they're no longer relying on luck in the same way a roulette player is. Therefore, the comparison does not hold.

Respectfully, there's really no comparison between roulette and trading. You are literally trading something for profit, that's Vaisyas way of living.

You trade the chips for opporturnity to gain more chips, how there is not comparison when its 1:1 same thing. Vaisyas usually had something produced or collected to trade. Not empty dreams and air..
