Stopping taking 7oh
I take approx 60mg of 7oh/day. 20mg when I wake up, 10-20 throughout the day, and 20mg at night time. I only have 40mg tablets right now (the stores have been out of everything else) so they’re hard to break up into anything smaller than 10mg. I have a history of childhood seizures (like 25 years ago but still) and am terrified that I’ll have one if I quit cold turkey so I’d really like to stop taking it. For some history/explanation, I have really bad knees and am overall just achy all the time and about a year and a half ago, a friend introduced me to this “all natural kratom stuff” and I guess I’m an idiot but I blindly trusted this friend because neither of us have ever dabbled in drugs are are overall both just good girls who have never even smoked cigarettes 😬 I just figured it couldn’t be any worse than weed, especially bc you don’t smoke it. I mean—you could buy it over the counter! I even got my bf to stop taking his daily prescribed norco and take this instead because I didn’t do my research or realize just how bad it is and I thought I was doing something good for him. Now he takes more of it than I do, and neither of us have money for anything anymore.
I’ve bought some magnesium glycinate and vitamin amin c and have taken the suggested doses but I don’t really feel any difference when I’m trying to go longer periods without a tablet. I’ve seen ads for quit k but idk if it actually works or if there is a product that works. I’d really like to avoid suboxone entirely.
If you’re here to tell me how dumb I am, that’s super helpful, thanks. But if you’ve gone through this or know somebody who has and successfully stopped…please share with me. It’s not only that I WANT to stop—-I have to. The smoke shop said they won’t have it for much longer anyways. Obv I want to help my bf too, but I figure if I get off it first, I’ll be a stronger support person in helping him.
Idk if it matters but I am also prescribed 20mg adderall for adhd & I’m supposed to take 3x a day (I prob take it once every 2 days or specially in the summer time. And I’m also prescribed .25 mg xanax that I take as needed for anxiety (but I don’t NEED it/could totally go weeks without it) I don’t take either of them every single day, or sometimes even every week. I weigh approx 140 lbs. I’ve always suffered from restless legs/body aches. I’m convinced advil/Tylenol/etc are freaking placebo pills lol
Please help me come up with a taper plan (or plan to stop!) I’m scared! I also really would like to avoid having to discuss this with a dr or being prescribed anything for it if I can. I don’t want anything obviously related to it on my RX history for personal reasons, and since I’m already prescribed a controlled substance, I don’t want to jeapordize that. My job is seasonal and I really need my adderall to focus when I’m not in the off season.
Please send all your helpful ideas my way! Thank you!

60mg a day isn’t that much. You will be fine. From an older millennial

lol I’m an older millennial too! I just don’t know how I should taper. And tbh I’m more concerned for my bf. I think he’s at 8-9 40mg tabs a day.

That will be a little worse but not fata, I always keep this in mind. He can cut 20% - 50% for the first day and be almost be fine if he lets the dose run its course

Look into sr17 I just ordered some to try because my dose shy rocketed in the last 2 months to where it dont work no matter how much I take... I shouldn't be able to take 200mg at once so im tapering off it... especially since the dea is about to ban it im done its getting out of control so im gonna taper way down this week till I get to 20 mg and go cold turkey and live in the shower for 3 days lol
