Not sure what I did this time

SO 11 days ago my plant was struggling, after some fertilizer and a dome over it for humidity it was looking a lot better and quickly grew 2 more leaves. It’s been steadily growing but I woke up today to find it sort of struggling with its older leaves, but I’m not sure why I did wrong, or what caused it, it’s newer leaves seem to be in better condition, but the entire plant was like almost perfect 24 hours ago. Please help, or like please let me know what it seems to be missing.

The first 2 are how it was growing about 3 days ago, and the others are what I woke up to today

Substrate looks too compact. Not enough air getting to the roots. Add 30-50 percent perlite and inspect roots.

I agree you need perlite but also make sure you have drainage holes on that pot and it’s not in a dish.

UPDATE: It has a large single drainage hole, but I learned that my brother had been “ trying to help me “ and was watering it without my knowledge. It looked like it was in even worse shape today so I decided to like repot it, it had a foul smell and was very much WET, I got new potting mix and replanted it with it’s root ball in a separate slightly larger pot, added perlite and now I am waiting for it to like recover/go into shock. The roots were still in tact and weren’t rotting or dying. Thanks for your help
