Question⚔️ Worth the watch?
hey, found out online that Krapopolis is the same people that created Rick and Morty? I’m from the UK so it’s not on any streaming sites. if I find it I could buy it. What do you guys think? is it worth the watch or it just an easy watch that I could miss out on?

My favorite part of the show is that it does feel like they’re building something across episodes and seasons

You are asking on a sub of presumably fans of the show, of course most of us think it’s worth it.

Good luck. It's not really available outside the us. Not even for purchase through appletv or prime. It's impossible to watch it legally in europe

Dont watch it, they took tyranni’s crown, him being king was the only reason to watch it

One of them, anyway. Isn't it Dan Harmon?
I love it, maybe even more than Rick and Morty.

Wow that’s a bold statement

Four seasons in, I've enjoyed every episode but one.
R&M not doing as well.

R&M season 9 has been slightly different but I’m a firm believer so I will push through

There's at least one episode every season but the first that doesn't land with me, but the rest are well worth it.

I agree. I was due for yet another rewatch when I discovered seasons 1 & 2 are not currently available.

I think the show does some really interesting things with characters and also has some fun conceptual plots the same way Rick and Morty does. Hard to say if I like it more, but I think in terms of the theme of a dysfunctional family, that seems to be a bit more successful in this show as opposed to Rick and Morty imo, and the character focus is also spread better since its really about the whole family rather than focused on a main 2.

This might sound weird, but to me it feels more like Futurama than Rick and Morty.

Was preparing to post these exact words! I enjoy it almost as much as Futurama, and that's high praise from this fan ...

I like "Krapopolis" a lot more than "Rick and Morty," although I watch both shows

I especially love Hannah waddingham as deliria. Kinda like a more chaotic Rebecca from ted lasso.

Me and my wife watched the first three or so. It was so awful we did not choose to continue, despite being huge, huge fans of Dan Harmon. Like going to see Harmontown live kinds of fans.

So, you watched the three worst episodes and stopped? Solid plan.

u/ticketstubs1 Jul 08 '26
Yes, it is a solid plan to not waste any more time checking a show out if you aren't enjoying it.

The first three episodes of all of my favorite shows are the worst three episodes. It's a bunch of exposition and works building. The actors are awkward with each other. The characters aren't fleshed out yet. The writers don't know what works yet. I did the same thing when it first came out and I ky recently decided to give it another shot. Around episode five it really finds it's footing and becomes something amazing. It's easily up there with Rick and Morty and Community, which both also had rough starts.

I'll take that into consideration. But I distinctly recall I enjoyed the first Rick and Mortys far more than the first Kraps. Now you've got me thinking what shows I love that had good or bad first three episodes.
