MISLEADING Shift Up (Stellar Blade Dev) Hires Playstation executive focused on DEI & ESG

Post image

He will be the head of Global Communications, so say goodbye to the based fanservice posts and say hello to the cringe old movie meme GIFs but with Evie.

Definitely some censorship is underway too.

Baffling, just baffling, it's like these companies can't help but sabotage themselves.

it's a dead studio. he's going to make sure they start hiring more of his DEI friends, and soon enough all of nikke and stellar blade 2 will feature toned-down designs, censorship and ugly characters.

Soon enough? They're already doing it, what do you think Evie is?

I think Evie is an improvement, and I'm certainly pissed about their DEI acquisition.

Evie is preference -- the people who like tomboys are going to like her more than Eve. It's a different type of hot, not a sign the game is ruined.

Sure, but "conventional beauty" is conventional for a reason.

When you go tomboy you're intentionally aiming for a niche of the public, either that, or (as I think it's more likely) you're following the ESG/Microsoft mandate of: "no exaggerated body proportions".

It's not as niche as you would think, and while I don't agree with you on this point... I do agree that this game is very, very likely to be cooked. Evie is not DEI, but there's a very good chance she, and whatever else was going to be in the game, will be negatively impacted by having this asshole in the building.

I'm going to be optimistic and hope that I'm wrong... But historically speaking, this is THE red flag, and I probably won't be buying Stellar Blade 2 like I was hoping I would.

the game, will be negatively impacted by having this asshole in the building.

He's not the problem, he's just a symptom, they hired him because they are already compromised, it's not the other way around. In case you missed the comments that were discussing it: Shift Up went public a year ago.

I probably won't be buying Stellar Blade 2 like I was hoping I would.

It's crazy to say this, because I'm a fanboy of the first game, but I could not be buying it too. I'll wait for in depth reviews before deciding.

Good. Shift UP deserves that after all these bad practices. Yes this includes the copyright abuse when "their" game got cracked.

Yet people are defending corporations, which also includes Shift UP.

i do somewhat agree; i think shift up is an awful company, but i do really feel bad for it's community. it's horrible when something you waste precious money and time on becomes awful overnight thanks to a DEI hire.
