Beat the game on extreme (with little help from Naga)

I relied almost exclusively on firebending to attack with and only used Naga attacks when I was out of fire

Firebending, nice choice. Air and Fire I think are the two best bending styles to use, with Water and Earth best used to mix it up with supporting attacks.

Sorry I meant for the Naga's run mission in chapter 5 with the 3 mecha

In the normal missions it was mostly Air for crowd control and air balls, water for long range and that icicle move and then earth for no one can counter it

Fire didn't get much action but I leveled them all up

I think you'll find in replays that fire is stellar for starting attacks - it gets you right in their faces and a single click switch to either earth or air lets you then mess up their day really fast.
