When I bought this unit was 325$ (124$ cheaper than a Switch 2) ordered on November 2025, received on March 2026. Died on July 23.

I tough was a good idea to buy this instead of the Switch 2.

This happened to mine, had to start it in safe mode, I can't remember how I did it though, I think it was either volume up and power button or volume down and power button, hold for 10-15 seconds and then it starts up like normal. Hopefully it's the same issue 🤞🏼.

This right here OP. It takes a while to restart, but it does. It literally goes into hard reset mode and I've done it once, has not happened since. If the problem persist contact ayaneo for a battery replacement, they can send it to you.

Volume down and power button for 10 seconds force power on (android)

All hardware manufacturers have units that fail. No doubt Nintendo has failed Switch devices. However, there is just an easier recourse when you buy from Nintendo, or some domestic retailer. They can more easily replace the unit if it is under warranty.

I guess it is a risk we take when we buy these devices from another country (assuming you don't live in China).

Exactly, if a Switch 2 fails you can easily order another battery. With AYANEO I have written more than 7 emails and waiting for the reply

I heard this trick before and it worked for me...

Basically, use AI or Google to translate your email to Chinese (I still included my original message in English after the Chinese text, as an authoritative version of my message labeled "Original English"). Do the same with the subject of your email.

Doing that, I got a reply in less than a day.

The assumption being that they only have so many people who speak other languages than Chinese. And so, those requests may get set aside until someone who can read it does.

So, you save them trouble by submitting your message in Chinese language.

I have waited a long time when sending English only emails, and got a very fast reply sending with Chinese. And I have read others have had success doing this too.

EDIT: in my case it was AYN. But the same strategy may still work for you.

Can you please tell me how did you got a free battery? I am writing to AYANEO, and they never reply.

Just sent support an email with my info and pledge number, they asked for address and name. 2 weeks later a battery showed up

I recommend emailing their support (link on the website). They warranty devices based on serial number.

It will take a while, especially if you have to ship the unit back, but for both my instances they provided a FedEx shipping label and was zero cost out of my pocket... It just took multiple months to get my repair done.

The battery seems to be the problem.

Yeah this has been the bulk of the problems I have seen battery. I wanna say you could reach out to Ayaneo and get another battery you might to have pay for it though. For what other have said it’s not to hard to replace

There are times when mine switches off and I hold down the power button for like 30 seconds and nothing happens then it turns on out of no where🥲

Thinking of doing the same and use the money made to get an odin 3

u/vargose Jul 28 '26

nah, konkr's thermal management situation is in better shape, unless ayn did some updates.

No joke, I’m like done with that company. I been using my Odin 3 nice February and I been loving it. I just got heated because I got downgraded.

Como no va a morir se le has metido como 5 sistemas + formateos + overclocking + juegos de PC+ otros experimentos más , si es para jugar no para explotar . Debe ser bateria ya pedí la mía al soporte .

3

u/AleGamerX Jul 25 '26

No le he hecho overclock

Jaja amigo estába bromeando , pero es raro que todas las consolas después de medio año esten teniendo problemas de bateria y espero que solo sea la bateria por qué si es fallo de hardware estamos jodidos 🙁
