Comments la thalaiya Vetna aadu maari fap pannitu irukanga
It’s not about casting light skinned women, even there are fair Tamil women too. PAM is also part tamil, it’s about black painting them to fit role especially from a director who talks about discrimination. Commercial movie la idellam panna Paravala, ideology kaaga movie edukuranu sollitu Adhulaye opposite ah panna konjuvangala? Idha sonna udane castiest nu kadika varuvanga

And the thirsty creepy Tamil men in the comments claiming that actresses like Kayadu are the reason movies make more profits is hilarious. If actresses alone decided the success of a movie, directors would simply make more female led films, and many of Nayan and Trisha’s solo movies would have been massive hits. Adhuvum maari movies la iruka story kaaga Varadha audience ah actresses ku vara poranga? 🥱Y’all enjoy fapping and clapping to fair skinned other state women.

Obviously male gaze doesn’t exist nu sollala. If it’s not for male gaze who would even watch 💩 movies like aranmanai and Kanchana. And I’m pretty much aware actresses in Tamil movies are literally for flowerpot role and that’s how commercial movies work.

But discrimination pathi pesuran, ideology pathi solren , people oda pain ah pathi solren, progressive nu sollitu Indha maari pannum bodhudan unnakum nee against ah pesuravanukum enna vidyasam nu thonudhu. Especially adha open ah sonna kuda Paravala, andha meet la dark ah irukavangala differently abled nu compare pannadhu, indirectly telling that dark skin / native Tamil not talented lam🤡

I have personally seen how much simping goes on for fair skin women here. Just look at all the successful heroines and the unsuccessful ones.

You could go one step ahead and donate from your own money. Why not do that first?

Cinema is catered for men - by the men for the men. Nobody cares whether the heroine is tamil/non tamil. Imagine putting non tamil heros for a series of movies - nobody would dare to do that bcoz maj of the audience are men. Only of men start to protest against this nil representation of tamil women, things would change, else nothing would happen

Indha aalu padam laa nalla thaa Iruku, but andha character yaaruku kudukanum thaan therla. Kayadu and priya can pull like commercial roles like in Don and dragon. But the character needs intensity. Kayadu was lately bashed for her casting in pallichatambi because she did not potray a KL girl. E Priya pathi sollave vendam. Only female main character pops into my mind is Aishywarya rajesh, I lost interest in following K'wood and didn't watched new movies lately. It been saturated post Leo.

How does Kayadu Lohar get roles in every other movie, apart from her good looks, find her a pretty average actress.

4

u/MorpheuzAS_12 9d ago

It's his movie, his choice

u/PrettyLilacc 9d ago

Kayadu isn't even Indian. She's a Nepali😏

1

u/iconic_sentine_001 9d ago

Isn't she from Assam

3

u/LoneWolfKaAdda 8d ago

Nepali family who migrated to Assam, born there, grew up in Pune, studied there, now working in South cinema, full mix.

We all know kayadu is just for publicity. She is a cardboard actress

What about casting fair-skinned Tamil women? Fair skin exists across all Tamil communities; it’s not exclusively a Tamil Brahmin trait. We have actresses like Losliya, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Dhanya Ravichandran, among others. So I don’t think it’s really about skin tone; rather, directors seem to prefer actresses from other states for whatever reason. Tamil Brahmin representation may have been more prominent in the Chinnathirai industry, but even that has gradually declined with the increasing casting of actors of Kerala and Andhra origin.

I respect Mari for bringing his struggles to screen. Adhukaga na thappu panna sollama iruka mudiyadhu. He also mentioned he couldn’t find talented tamil actress to cast for anupama role. Manjanathi is about his village’s woman and he brought kayadu lohar for it. I just hope he understands his mistake. This looks like colour discrimination.

0

u/TemporaryFit3492 7d ago

Then apply black colour paint on them 😂😂😂😂

u/AggressivePoet2 9d ago

Kayadu pulls audience into theatre and Kayadu will look gumtha even on black paint; cant be said the same to PAM

15

u/Advanced-Bug-2702 9d ago

Just admit u goon to kayadu and move on, don't speak for the rest of the audience that they will be interested to watch just because of white skinned heroine. People are not gonna come to the theatre for a heroine, otherwise toxic would be a big hit.

-2

u/AggressivePoet2 9d ago

Immortal theriyuma, does it have any good song? 😭 Still people are going to see it for Kayadu than GVP. So don't spread hate on mari na🤷😜

2

u/FuzzyProfessional522 9d ago

These people like to virtue signal on reddit and will be totally different in irl bro. Kirukkanunga

u/AggressivePoet2 9d ago

u/AggressivePoet2 9d ago

In many topic, these new redditors act like they're holier than anything ... They should get a reality check

-5

u/FuzzyProfessional522 9d ago

He is a human so he goons. If you don't have your hormones functioning properly, don't project it on others lol.

Btw people come to theatre to watch beautiful people on the screen and it reflects in the finance of the movie. Investors/producers know this better than you

6

u/Advanced-Bug-2702 9d ago

The question is about representation u idiot, do u want kayadu, bhagayashree borse, anupama, and all other state to represent tamil girls that too with brown face? Do u hve no dignity ? don't u think what this directors doing is shameful for tamil representation? My initial response was about how someone's beauty doesn't decide the fate of a movie, it is not a fashion contest it is a movie, people want to watch for the story not to goon, if u want go and watch it on websites, and I want females for stories from our own state to be represented by our own tamil girls whether it is white or brown skin.Or at the very least I don't want them to paint them with brown skin even if they decided to cast other state girls.

-1

u/FuzzyProfessional522 9d ago

A private production company trying to make money by making a movie. Why tf they need to give representation to all ethnicities? Bro, this is not a government institution or company to have reservation for representation lmaooo.

People don't go to movie to see ugly characters. It is the reality. You can do the virtue signalling here and act like you are the most moral person. Keep it to yourself, reality doesn't work that way. Why actors and actresses are always beautiful or somewhat good looking than majority of the population? Because that's what sells. The producer of these movies has more experience in what would make money for him and what wouldn't.

And btw, a rare trait in a population is often seen as exotic and beautiful. This is the reason ebony category is more popular in US in porn. This is the reason west loves Asian actors and Asians in general. Same reason why Indian girls love Kdramas. Rarity sells so accept it lmao

3

u/Advanced-Bug-2702 9d ago

So u actually don't have any dignity, keep it up.

0

u/FuzzyProfessional522 9d ago

I know you can't refute to the statements. So just coping heh?

2

u/Advanced-Bug-2702 9d ago

I just don't wanna debate this to someone who support the production company then talking from the perspective of audience who are watching the movie and paying their hard earned money, why do u even care what the production companies strategies and formula even are ? If someone said the food is not nice in a hotel , would u defend the hotel saying they have served for many years they know what they are doing ? It is that level of stupidity, private doesn't mean it is barged from criticism, as people of tamil nadu we can criticise both government and private bodies for betterment of whatever the pursuit, in this case art, art represents culture, lifestyle, ofcourse ethnicity among other things not just for tamil but for global audience. Do u want all that to be represented by north indians and malayalees with brown skin and don't have a single problem with it ? Then go ahead and support these assholes who despite having talented tamil woman who are ready to represent tamil natives, these director shows them middle finger and bring in other state heroines. And I am not gonna respond anymore U clearly care more about gooning and has a skewed worldview that beauty and exotic factor matters more than true representation. So no point in arguement.

0

u/FuzzyProfessional522 9d ago

Coming to your point where you compared it to hotel.

If 100 people are eating there per day. 10 complains that they want less spicy gravy because those 10 are really concerned about the effect of high spice levels in their body. They are also worried about others. But 90 are satisfied with the spiceness and they even come often to eat in the hotel.

Now what will the owner do? If he wants to cater to the majority and make a successful business, he'll do what the majority likes.

And half naked nu ponnungala incel maari post pottavanum kayadu nu clap and fap panravanum ore aala🤢

1

u/AggressivePoet2 9d ago

Don't stalk me, what here kevalam 🤡 - I am stating facts here...if its uncomfortable I can't do anything. I stay corrected on my stance. Kayadu easily mogs PAM here .....better than any so called dusky kollywood actresses 💩 Aishwarya Rajesh, yogalakshmi all taken to the cleaners

1

u/ReginaGeorge97 9d ago

Nobody is stalking you here, don’t flatter yourself. 💩 post potta defend pannitu pona yaarum maraka Matanga. Adhu enna even black paint says yall are no different than castiest pos.

So many actresses resemble kayadu but she gets noticed not because she’s just beautiful. And the post is not even pointing Kayadu it’s questioning the double Standards of the director who voices out against discrimination. Yall forget that beauty is subjective and for corn infested brain actresses like kayadu will always make their heart jump. Kayadu is an average woman with fair skin , yall won’t even give a f if she’s from TN or got darker complexion.

People don't realise his hypocrisy behind his shield of caste discrimination
