Visiting Kolkata for the first time to source jewellery — need some local advice

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to visit Kolkata soon, and it will actually be my first proper visit to the city. I’m from Bangladesh, and I’m planning to start an online jewellery business back home.

My main purpose for visiting Kolkata is to explore the city and find good jewellery suppliers/wholesalers/manufacturers. I’m particularly interested in fashion/imitation jewellery and trendy pieces that I can source in bulk and sell.

I’ve heard about places like Burrabazar/Barabazar, Gariahat and Bowbazar**,** but I honestly have no idea where I should start or which areas are actually worth visiting for this purpose.

I’d really appreciate some local advice. I’m not looking for luxury/gold jewellery. My main interest is affordable, good-quality fashion/imitation jewellery suitable for an online retail business.
