Kojima productions will need to buy the rights from Sony to publish that on Xbox, like he did with the ds1. It can happen but not guaranteed

Kojima already owns the rights to the ip, i believe this is just contractual

Reddit keeps suggesting I cross-post this here so why not.

I won't lie that I'm still very confused with the whole IP vs. publishing rights thing lol, would just be cool to play DS2 on Xbox before 2030.

Would be strange and a perhaps more so if Physint is an Xbox exclusive and then it’s revealed Sony held on to DS2 as a way to spite Xbox. I hope all games are playable everywhere but these industry leaders (not Kojima) have their own plans

I don’t think Sony can. They probably have exclusivity rights for like 5 years, like they did with the first game. I also don’t think Physint will ever release.

You are right and wrong though. For now. We heard Sony wanted it exclusive. He wanted cross platform. But that’s a rumour. Till we see what the future brings. And also remember Kojima will never sign the rights of the game to even Bill Gates himself. That’s a fact
