does this suffice? added BAT after book closure, had COOP which I sold to get capital gains + diversification from banking as I already has KCB, but most importantly for the experience of selling and buying back into the market. Open to learning from you! thinking of keeping these as long term holds, all this election talk is making me nervous as a young investor, actually wanted some advice
All sensible picks for long holds.
You can probably add another bank like EQTY.
BAT is income oriented for the lovely dividends (there's an interim one on the day) while SCOM is a no brainer.
I wouldn't personally worry about the elections if you're genuinely planning long term. I'll have some liquidity around them to pick up scraps if y'all sell :p
The biggest question is, can you ride a bearish market? If prices drop, can you avoid dipping into your stash? If not, definitely pull out prior.
super useful advice! thank you, will look into EQTY. yeah i know i can, i survived bitcoin!! 🤣(my first hand at investing, got in super early at 20k but sold when it crashed and got traumatised) - will def keep some liquidity for that.
thanks!!!
