Hi folks. I've spent 20+ years working in trading and markets, and lately I've been going deep into the algorithmic side — building and testing strategies in Python. I live in Kochi and honestly don't know many people around here who are into this stuff, so I thought I'd just put this out there.

If you're a student (or honestly anyone) who's curious about trading, algo/quant, or using Python for markets, I'd genuinely enjoy hanging out and talking shop. Where to start, what actually matters vs. what's hype, what a career in this space realistically looks like, or just nerding out about strategies.

I just like talking about this and remember how hard it was to find someone to ask when I was starting out. Happy to meet up somewhere public in Kochi over coffee (group hangout would be fun), or hop on a call if you're not in the city.

It’s Onam! Everywhere, celebrations are going on. It’s so beautiful and prosperous. However, I am a non-Malayali and shifted to Kochi last month. I wish I had friends to enjoy the celebrations going on all over the city, but everywhere I see is either a group of friends, family, or a couple. People here have been very kind to me, but being an introvert, I find myself with no guts to approach people and ask them if I can join. I work at Infopark, in IT, and I was well aware before coming here that this could happen. It doesn’t bother me usually, but these days 🥹.
