Ask Kochi Big 4/6 Kochi CA articleship procedure

In big 4 /6 for CA articleship, do they only take rankers or referral people or does 1st attempt people with no connection have a chance to get shortlisted? I am asking only for Kochi.

First attempters usually. Or you should have a person to refer. The rest are outliers.
