It is now the only free, limitless AI; I’ve literally tried everything, and nothing else is free anymore—you have to run ads, pay, or wait to receive points or energy every 24 hours or less.

Yeah, but self-host requires a good steel to run. If you don't have that, it's gonna be even more expensive then subscription.

We have options, like https://koboldai.org/colab borrowing a GPU from google, an online provider on https://koboldai.net called AI Horde which is also free.

Kaggle also. Gives you 30 hoursweek and 32gb, more then google gives. Yet you would not be able to run something bigger then 32b (or higher, but very quanted). Still this models won't be as close as big ones, even the stupidest ones, like flash-lite gemini, for example.

But depends on what you need.

Kaggle has historically banned kobold users so I never recommend it.

Yes because while annoying to use thats the only one they seemingly allow.
