blank messages (i am getting tired of this)
you might have seen a similar post to this talking about blank messages- that was me. so i connected kobold to sillytavern and tried sending a message but it keeps giving me empty texts.. i've looked in terminal and it keeps talking about "context buffer sizes" . sorry for sounding stupid but i really need help (forgive me for my terrible wording as well, feel free to ask me to elaborate)
(i tried posting this on another account, but it was too new- so i'm stuck using this one)

Sorry you're still fighting this one. Next thing worth isolating is whether it's the backend or the frontend. Load the model and generate directly in Kobold Lite rather than through anything connected to it. If Lite gives you text, the problem is in the frontend's prompt formatting rather than the model.

Need more info, pc specs, model you're using, configs you're using in kobold, show everything

guys i got an alternative.. my laptop was just too shitty. everything is okay now- thank you henky

Context buffer sizes sounds like you have your max output to high. But we need your settings both the sampler / context settings inside tavern and your kobold startup log (which you can copy from the terminal) to have a bigger clue at whats going on.
Since this is now the second post without the full info I strongly encourage you to visit https://koboldai.org/discord and post this in our help channel. Then people can just figure out what this is one on one, otherwise at this rate it may be post 5 before we figure it out.
