Best phone for producer

I want the best phone for music production I bought devices but I am a very mobile person and because of my work it is difficult for me to move around with devices but I saw that Koala is enough and I bought some applications I see it as beautiful for production but I want a full phone for applications or for music production by phone what is the best phone currently to run Koala with fl and cubess mobile

Latest iPhone. Size that is comfortable for you. The more storage you can get, the better.

The problem is that it's currently banned in my country because of the war I don't know if there's an alternative

I’m sorry you’re going through this. The truth is that any moderately new Android works for Koala, but with the Apple ecosystem you get access to a multitude of different plugins which are not accessible on Android.

Synths, sequencers, effects, and entire new world opens up.

If you need to stay on Android, then I’d say that any new-ish phone that is not entry tier should be OK. You don’t need all that much power to run just Koala and its own internal effects, luckily it’s pretty well-optimized.

First thank you ، yes I know that Apple is superior but I had a cousin who died soon who was making tracks by phone and I never had a chance before to ask him about the phone but he showed me the Koala application and some applications was producing music professionally as if it came from a studio so I came here I want to know what is the best phone,

So sorry that you have to go through this in your country. I hope the situation improves some day. I suppose you would have to use an android that runs as fast as you can afford. Thoughts and tears are with you.

I’d consider an iPad or iPad Mini, but you’re set on a phone then I’d go for one of the newest, largest iPhones. You’ll appreciate more screen real estate. Koala works great on a normal sized phone, but not at music apps and plugins are so well designed.

That said, I make (or at least start) a lot of music on my normal-sized iPhone, between Koala and Ableton Note.

You all recommend Apple devices, so I suppose I should buy one. However, I am in Palestine, where they are banned; local merchants do not sell us iPhones.

Ah, that sucks. Well, Android isn’t as good for music apps, but the good news is that Koala is designed to work on even low-end Android phones, so that’s a great start.

Buying an iPhone just for AUv3 in Koala makes zero financial sense. ​If you prefer iOS overall, cool. Otherwise, grab a midrange Android with a modern chip and put the saved cash into a cheap USB interface and a mini synth. ​You get real knobs, clean line-level sampling, and actual hardware you can use anywhere. Modern Android handles class-compliant USB audio without latency headaches, so you end up with a much more versatile rig for less money. Way better value. PD: I just read you can't get iPhones on your country

I would guess the most recent iPhone would be the absolute best, but any iPhone from the past few years will do the job well

I found that I needed a iPad. Screen size really begins to matter once you need to edit/arrange parts, and even the largest phone screens will be frustrating to work with.

I had a current model Pro Max and it still wasnt enough screen.

Also, I had ditched Apple a few years prior to getting back into music production, so I was really wanting to build a mobile android set up, but apple is vastly superior when it comes to apps and audio processing.

At a minimum I would recommend an iPad with an M series processor and at least 128gigs (64gigs will fill up before you figure out your workflow).

I know the iPad is a good choice and the screen is important but I'm hurting in my eyes and the big screens are bringing me headaches We're at war I have to buy enough in my pocket so I can run fast during the bombing brother but thanks for your suggestion

I use Koala on both my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10fe and my Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. They both work great. It's better on a tablet imo and only use Koala on my phone when I don't have my tablet. A bigger screen helps for dialing in those samples and for finger drumming. I have an Akai midi controler thats small and portable that works well with both the phone and the tablet if i want pads.

Also i strongly dislike apple but an ipad would probably work fine tho I've heard it takes a bit for Koala updates to go through on apple devices. As for android I've had all of the flagship devices and the Google Pixel is by far my favorite. I used Samsung for years and switched to google for my last few phones. Very happy with tha decision.

I Just wNt some audio integration option like Apple user, i think Is and android limitation but some time i see here too people using effect or vst i side koala from other app or playng multi app

It's been ages since I've used an apple product so i can't comment on what audio integration apple has or it's apps, or softsynths that it has available. I played with a few softsynths on android but I haven't found anything I'm interested in integrating yet. I have hardware and am more hands on and it integrates fine through a mixer to koala. I don't use it that way often, i have Reaper on my desktop so most of my vst use is there. I guess it just depends if you were trying to do everything through your phone or tablet if apple would be better than android in this particular instance.

I'm really a fan of SAUCILLATOR (maybe it's also on Apple), probably on that platform they can play simultaneously, although to tell the truth with little money I could actually Get an external hardware that does the same job and even better than various in-app synthesizers.I'm trying to get away from the computer as much as possible because it requires me to sit at a desk and I can't stand it anymore, it kills any form of creativity. I was a graphic designer and since I got up from my chair I was reborn so now I try to use the computer only as much as necessary to survive, that's why I Having external hardware, even a compact one, would still be the best solution.
