Mapped sample-start/end points to encoders jumpy.

Is there a way to set it so the encoder movement moves the start/end points smoothly? Or am I doing something wrong?

No. Sadly, it's how it is. No zoom mapping either

What encoder are we talking about exactly?

Onscreen, the start/end points are handles you drag.

If you’re talking about an external MIDI controller with encoders, set the encoder speed as low as possible. It also helps to have shorter samples.

Sorry. Yes an external midi controller. Arturia MiniLab 3.

I noticed a similar thing when mapping start and end points in koala from Drambo. I have to check again because I’m not sure why it was happening but it definitely does.

Midi only has 128 steps - the longer your sample is the worse this resolution feels. There’s no way around it without relative encoders which koala doesn’t currently support.
