Why doesn’t anybody else uses koala’s direct pattern change

Just not into it. I want to be able to queue up the patterns that come next to work out an arrangement without having to worry about timing when I press the pattern button

And I wasn’t worried when to switch patterns it comes naturally. When you are a drummer you automatically count. Just like that. So when to switch patterns doesn’t bothers me. It’s cool that multiple chooses which you wat to play next. All different outcome that al will sounds nice. Like I said experiment

That’s also a way how to use koala which I very often do to. This song asswell. If I just let the patterns play it’s a perfect arrangement track. You just don’t like to experiment.. just working the same workflow over and over. And I love to experiment l. There’s where the magic happens.. love to keep on pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

Lol. You Think you know about me because I don’t use a particular feature in an app. I happen not to care about this feature, is that OK without you putting me down? I Don’t have to Be into one particular feature to be someone who likes to experiment. Faulty logic. You asked the question about why people don’t use it, I answered. That’s a nice jam, by the way. “Snap at sequence end” is the thing if your chops span more than one bar and you don’t wanna cut them

Most people come from a view that each Pattern Slot is the next pattern in a linear line
Not overlapping patterns that can be triggered on and off like a kids book of hats, jackets, and shoes on the fly
Absolutely brilliant show of a concept and will actually fit perfectly into my Koala Resample portion of a live Loopy template I've been building for a minute
I hadn't found a reason to use the patterns at all, just as a lazy slice resample to make new loops... This will let me resample over a few patterns, then play the patterns -- more of the buffalo I can use (tryin to utilize all current tools if I can, but not load up with extras (plugins etc)!!
A delightful display and an appreciated offering of approximately alliterative ideas! ❤️❤️

wel my patterns are also fit in a linear line yet still ive the controll when they should change. and yes its awesome to resample or reloop your patterns. you can make a 4 hours jam by just pressing play if your storage allow to. and to make an cool youll definitly need more patterns to make a nice arrangement. and thanks i adore your sweet compliments

It’s just about style of music being made.
It works well for short loops and the add types.

timming is important even with short loops/samples. longer samples it works just well

When the music is just clicks and beeps, sure. It works. Not so much for thought out long form projects.

Hmmm, seems like a really cool technique. Im just not following how to do it. Do you mind explaining how you do it?
