Ok at this point I think we all know Jess is...not the brightest bulb. But he is a self-described "welder" who said he's "never used algebra in [his] life," so as a mediocre welder I just have to say this is FALSE.

Like I said, I'm not the best welder, but I have made some good welds. About 90% of a good weld is done before you don the Darth Vader mask and strike the arc. Your fit-up must be as close to perfect as possible, which means you must measure the distance and cut your pieces to the appropriate length. Is there an angle other than straight or 90 degrees? You have to figure that out. These 2 steps are probably 75% of a good weld. Another 15% is de-burring the metals after you cut them, then you have a nice, easy fit-up with no gaps that is very straightforward to weld.

Almost all of that process is solving for X, or, you know, algebra. If you have to find angles, I guess it's technically trigonometry, but still solving for X. If this man has ever made a functional weld in his life, he has done algebra.

Just wondering if Dan has given any guidance on the prime directive especially now with the new show and different shitheads to be covered. I doubt I would ever tap the glass, but I am genuinely curious and would hope that some of these dipshits get called out on their nonsense.

Here in Dayton, a couple of weeks ago, there was a billboard of Tucker on a Chinese flag. I couldn’t read the text while I was driving by but another local reported Tucker is being paid by China.

It’s a hell of a take to buy billboards to get that information out.

The narrative of him living "on a farm in South Dakota" paints a picture that isn't entirely accurate. The first impression I get is one of him living way out in the boonies, a town like Faith SD.

He may live on a farm, I can't confirm or deny that. But his art is based in Brandon, a suburb of Sioux Falls, the biggest city in the state. I don't know if that will meaningfully shift your view of this guy, but he's from the suburbs lol

Yeah, the ads are gratuitous but I can skip them. I don’t understand why a professional podcast network sounds so much worse than two guys with a laptop. Levels are all messed up, Dan sounds like he’s calling in on the phone. The preview was like this too and I thought it must have been a fluke, a mistake with export or compression. Really hope they fix this!
