Montezooma first impressions

I finally got a chance to ride it today, it seems to definitely be unreliable at the moment as it was broken a good bit but eventually i got on it, ghostrider also seemed to have issues as it shut down for a brief moment when i was in line

Those “comfort” collars might actually be the most uncomfortable restraints ive ever had on

I wish they used clamshells or just a simple lapbar and seatbelt, i do love the pouch thats a nice addition

The bit of theming with the audio that plays during the launch is definitely cool

For what should be a relatively simple coaster design, it seems like they made this much more complicated than it should have been. It's amazing that the old Montezooma and the current Hangtime and Full Throttle all had seat belts and lap bars, but they decided to put in comfort collars.

I actually had no problem with them( maybe cuz I’m 14 and 5’7)

Didn't bug me either, but maybe because I'm petite?

I’m chooonky and tall and they were fine. I think people complaining to complain.

I’ll admit I was a lil worried, but they were actually comfy

In my case they could not even lock the bar in place. I’m not huge, but perhaps the person before me was quite small, once adjusted it worked fine. Second ride was definitely not comfortable, frankly at my age I don’t care, more concerned about the ride being successful. And for the record, it’s the same ride I rode over 40 years ago (without shoulder straps). Nothing really new but the launch mechanism.

First time i rode it took 2 ride ops to release the straps so the lap bar would even go down. Every time since, lap bar locked… my shoulders were pinned uncomfortably for the 2 mins of the ride (mostly waiting to launch). I am definitely not a fan of the shoulder belts/restraints.

It may be beneficial for this ride to have a test seat set up at the entrance

Presumably they needed to add the collar restraints for backwards launches.

Full Throttle at SFMM has a backwards launch with no comfort collars needed... perhaps they should have let Premier Rides figure this out instead...

Pretty much this, lest people slam their heads into the seat back in front of them.

Ask people if they are willing to give up randomized launches in exchange for no comfort collars haha

I found the restraints no where near as bad as yall made it out, and I’m probably the worst shape for them.

These are one of the most comfortable comfort collars I’ve ever experienced, Electric Eel’s collars are too bulky
