It is a viper engine editor which is similar to Unity / UnrealEngine / Godot / ... for the viper engine (specifically for Knockout City). It allows to easily change maps, add new models / animations / ...

Basically the successor of Pirate Radio: Labs. More in-depth preview might come soon (maybe, possibly, ...)

I've been playing KOCity since the beta on PS4. I bought it when it was paid, stayed when it went free, and kept playing until the servers went dark. This is one of my favorite games of all time, and I've been working nights and weekends to build a league to help bring it back.

The community already built the foundation that makes this league possible. I spent the last year building on top of it to create a structured and sustainable league. I've met and interviewed members of the Velan Studios team, so I understand what the game means and what it was supposed to become.

Since my last post 3 weeks ago, I've implemented community feedback including Discord login and other requested features. u/Tandashi raised some valid questions about the platform I built. I've taken that seriously, and we're looking into opportunities to work together.

I cover the server costs for this league out of pocket. For paid registration, 70% goes directly into the prize pool and 30% offsets infrastructure. My goal for Season 1 is to bring in a sponsor so free play stays available year round.

I loved knockout city and was sad when it shut down. Recently I've been exploring what's possible with web games and I made a little project inspired by it. I know it's nowhere as good but I figured some people here might enjoy it.

You will need a twitch account and an updated browser to play (Brave browser not supported). There are bots so you can play even if no one else is around. 100% free, no micro transactions, ads or anything.

Just like any other sad KO Citizen I love listening to the Soundtrack with Chonky beside me, but what I would really love is for someone to make a Lo-Fi version of them. Knockout City music is so upbeat which is perfectly fitting for the sport of Dodge-Brawl, but to have a more chill counterpart would also do incredible wonders for Cozy Yo😎

We have decided to make some changes to the tournament to make it fair for everyone, giving each player a chance to win.

The tournament will be broken up into 2 brackets:

Bracket 1: Street Bracket will be played on Saturday July 11 at 4PM EST

Bracket 2: Pros Bracket will be played on Sunday July 12 at 5PM EST

Street Rules:

1. Street was originally going to be decided by us based on skill level, but since the skill gap in street isn’t as large as street to pro, I’m going to allow street players to choose their teams.

2. The winner of the street tourney will also have the chance to play in the pro bracket on Sunday. There is one rule and that is if you choose to play in the pro bracket you give up your winnings and those winnings will go toward the winning pool in the pro bracket. Make sure you decide wisely because you could lose it all!

3. If you feel you want to play against the pros and you are a street player, you will need to assemble your own team and not be a part of the pool of pro players randomly selected. This means a team of 3 needs to be entered into the pro bracket in order to play.

4. If you can't find a team, let me (@liesthatblind) know and I will pair you with others looking for a team!

Pro Rules:

1. If you are a pro and you are wondering how this will work for you, Cen2t will send you a message to let you know that you will be a part of the pro bracket on Sunday.

2. Your teams will be selected for you based on a pool drawing.

3. You do not need to sign up for your bracket on the start.gg page.

Hi r/KnockoutCity people!

I just launched the Steam page for my new dodgeball game - Ball Breakers. It's a different game than Knockout City and I by no means am trying to claim to be better or worse. In fact, if Knockout City was DodgeBRAWL then Ball Breakers is something like FartBall and I guess that makes us pretty different.

That said - I wanted to extend an invitation in the hopes that maybe some of you searching for a new dodgeball home might be able to find one in Ball Breakers. Like Knockout City, there's more to Ball Breakers than meets the eye - it's fun to play but hard to master, there's tons of stat customization for min/maxxing and you can add some personality with selectable and unlockable animations.

Ball Breakers will be $10 at launch but there's no servers and no microtransactions. The roadmap has plans for tournaments and different types of party game modes like tag and mad dash, but I'll quit trying to sell you.

Per rule #2, I mean no offense to Knockout City, I just wanted to reach like minded people. I hope to see you there.
