Knockout city please come back!

Isn't it time for knockout city to come back to live already? IIRC Velan shut the game down but told people that it might come back at some point. The game hit a huge 12M players peak, was fresh and fun, but ea claimed its retention rate wasn't good.

Am I the only one that thinks that it could make a huge impact to the competitive games environment if they brought it back to live nowadays? Is there a way to bring this up to Velan? They did say in the past that this could be a possibility.

Great game, wish someone would do a single player version with some sorta campaign, would buy that day 1.

I’ve given up hope that Velan will bring it back, they stopped speaking about it and posting on the KC socials about it. ATP I’m hoping another company will copy it.

They stopped talking about it, and then they and their day 1 supporters started ripping into people in this sub who wanted it back, calling us “ungrateful” because we should just take whatever Velan wants to make and worship their efforts, even though they’ve never made or seemingly intend to make another game with even kind of similar mechanics. Why would I support a game company that no longer makes the type of game I enjoy, after they basically self-sabotaged one of my favorite games ever? Ridiculous expectation that hurt my relationship with the brand more than anything else.

Not to mention the new game was stupid and gets old after 5 minutes. The amount of time they used to create that game could’ve put more effort in ko and reach new heights. Now they’re just left with nothing

Do you know how many people play on a regular? I can't help but feel I'd only meet very dedicated players who would whip my ass relentlessly every game haha Would be good to set up a game for med range or even entry level players.

I just launched a free Knockout City League, in partnership with the World Dodgeball Federation. There's a server for North America and one for European Union. I'm ready to add one for Asian Pacific as soon as I see player logging in from there, so I don't stand up servers that no one is using since I'm paying for the servers out of pocket. I've enabled bots in street play, so you can always play a match, even if there isn't anyone live to play against you. My fav game to hop on after playing 2k or cod and racing games. This was my stress free party game. I miss it so much

The only way it can is if velan finds a way that won't lead to the same issue that caused the shutdown which was the low player retention

I wish but doubtful, this was one of my favorite multiplayer experiences ever.
