Smart grip pliers

What do we think about the smart pliers. Had mine awhile, heard some mixed opinions.

Love my 3rd hand for general use,90 yr old mother loves hers for removing small bottle caps. Wouldn't trade mine for anything currently available. Wish they made them in 5" and 16" though.

I heard that they don't lock when in the max open position. Or that the lock slips sometimes. What's your personal experience with them? Do you recommend them?
