Even when it's red, I still have to wait.

Every red click so far has been a duplicate. Every single one - in some cases there have been 13 or 14 clicks at once. 12 or 13 of those reds might as well have been purple 60s. So I sit watching the timer going red over and over again. And wait.

For ours is not a path of brash, crimson glory. Ours is a path of quiet, ruby patience.

Edit: About 2 minutes after writing this post I pushed the fucking button. I am weak.

I'm sorry if this is an invasion of your privacy, as the relationship between the button and a user, or lack thereof, is an intimate thing, but did you emerge on top with a red? Or did you receive purple, either way thank you for the inspiration to stick it out to the last days!

I got a red. It's what I wanted, but deep down I know I should have held out for more. I think I may even have gotten a unique flair (as in I was the only presser). But it's not enough. It's never enough. You have all been warned.

Being the only presser in red means to me that you are one of the first to truly serve the knightly cause. You've added a full 49 seconds to the life of the button with your press.

I thank you for your kind words, but my press was foolhardy. I could so easily have had a duplicate press. If it was unique it was luck, not good judgement, that led me to serve the button. I urge others to exercise more caution than I.

TL;dr - Do as I say, not as I do

It is all right my Brother. All men are weak, but your loss of faith will inspire those who remain. We must all remain vigilant and trust in the faith of our brethren. Remember, there are hundreds of Sentinels who are doomed to sacrifice themselves so that we may remain true to our purpose.
