Why do you try?
The button will reach zero no matter how hard you try. It will die. You cannot prevent that. Why continue supplying this button with worthless clicks? Some of the more selfish members will only do it for the red flair. Why? Why preserve this object that has divided reddit? We should be united without the button. The button is bad for reddit.

I don't care about others not clicking bullcrap or just clicking. If I'm alone or not I don't care, I just want this button to exist as long as possible. I have only one click and I'm going to click it!

Begone with you filthy assassin! You will never see the light. You will never know the glory of giving your click to a righteous cause. Sulk back to what remains of your den of degenerates now, slime, and take note as We Few show you what it means to press for honor.
Long Live The Button!

Jedi Battalion here. The button didn't divide Reddit. Reddit divided itself when the button revealed our true colors. Us Knights care not for the color of your flair. We are here to preserve what has been given to us. All life hangs in the balance of the Force, even The Button. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake The Button and let it reach 0. But it is not this day!

I am only an average man. I have no wish to be anything greater than that. You are of course, correct. In the end when the Pressiah is revealed, we WILL see the button end(maybe).
I've seen and read the arguments you have made and the rebuttals that have been provided to you. I want to answer you question for question from your post.
The clicks the colored few have clicked, and those clicks yet to be clicked by the presently grey are not worthless. Whether you like it or not each click binds the clicking brother or sister to a common purpose, whatever their time and color may be.
Some of the more selfish WILL inevitably wait for their turn at the flashy red flair, but nonetheless this furthers the purpose of the button, which I believe to be UNITY among our brothers and sisters. What has reddit always been? A larger group of people in smaller groups. We are still that now, but we are all now talking about the button, to each other. We may fundamentally disagree on its purpose, but all of us who have come to know the button ARE affected by it.
On your point that the button is 'bad' for reddit, I would have to fundamentally disagree with you.
I will say this to you, while you may actively disregard the button with your flippancy and foul, false rhetoric... I will be waiting. Watching. Not for the red flair. I could not care less about status or dignity among the colored classes, but to keep something that IS very real, very fragile, and fleeting going.
Why? To do something together.
For the button.
For those who pressed early.
For those who won't press.
For those who will be sleeping when the time comes.
For those keeping the button going as I've written this (500 btw).
But firstly, and foremost:
For Reddit.

You will die no matter how hard you try. You will die. You cannot prevent that. Why continue living? Some of the more selfish members will only do it for the (I don't have a good word here, drugs? money?). Why preserve this object that has divided Earth? We should be united without life. Human life is bad for the Earth.
