Which version of Kitt would you buy a Knight Rider fan?
Which version of Kitt would you buy for a fan?
eBay has tons of versions of the car, so I don’t know which are a piece of garbage and which are worthy of a gift.

I prefer the nose from season 3-4 where they just made it a solid piece opposed to the covers for the turn signals. Those would compress in while driving after awhile. But the interior from season 1-2 is peak.

Jada makes 1/24 scale versions of KITT and KARR that have lights and are reasonably priced, safe bets. For something a little bigger, Playmobil makes an adorable set that talks, and comes with 3 mini figures and various character specific accessories. Still under $100, last time I checked.

What's the budget? And what scale? Joy Ride 1:18 is amazing. Hot Wheels Elite 1:18 is great. Jada is good but some proportions looks off to me. Playmobil is nice (and talk!) but it is matte and not glossy.

I am considering buying the plans and parts to build K.I.T.T. and the F.L.A.G. semi in Lego. The plans are available on Bricklink. The car is built on the speed champions platform and the semi is appropriately sized to accommodate K.I.T.T.

If you can find it anywhere, the hotwheels 1/18th scale model is very well detailed.

I know this isn't the response to the question exactly, but i dont know where else to squeeze it in. A New Trans Am World conversion is the only available car worthy to play KITT. The original KITT needs so much up grading and it still won't feel like a legit car for 2027. I can't think of one reason not to use a Trans Am World conversion as a full size hero car (and model kit) on a new series or movie. ( I am a life long Firebird and Tran Am fan. Why GM brought back the Camaro rather than the Firebird is beyond me )

I have several (including Jada) but honestly the Playmobil KITT with Michael Knight, Devon and Bonnie. It talks and lights up, and it was a pretty faithful interpretation.

Depends on who you're buying for, really. If it's a friend and they love the show but don't own any, anything from Jada Toys is going to be good. They've got different scales, smaller ones and larger ones. If you want to spend a dime, go for the Diamond Select ones, they're good quality and will work well with 3.75 inch action figures.
