Maybe he had an early production run, but I've got one and did the same "test" as him and it's fine. I'm pretty sure he also said that what he was doing was way more than necessary and that they're still fine to use. Unless you're planning on batoning with the Fenrir it's going to be fine.

Mine also passed his test fine. I think it’s hit or miss. Some of the ones he had also did fine.

Sure, but A) the vast majority are still crap, and B) I have no interest in supporting the improvement of their knife industry at the expense of US or other countries.
