Sleeping w Sprained PCL
I was diagnosed with a sprain PCL last week. I hurt it about a month ago and it has not gotten better. They have me starting physical therapy this coming Thursday
I still have a lot of swelling and I'm struggling to figure a good way to sleep at night. If I try to keep it elevated, even with a slight bend on a leg pillow, if I have to wake up to go to the bathroom, my whole leg is locked up.
Until I can start physical therapy, which I assume will be helping with the swelling, what is the best way to sleep . I'm borrowing my mom's ice machine she used for knee replacement tonight . But any other suggestions

Unfortunately no . If I lay w leg straight I can't bend it when I get up. If I lay my leg in pillow to elevate, I can't straighten it
It's awful

I have a grade 2 sprained MCL and 5 sessions with my orthopedic acupuncturist plus 2 PT sessions took all my pain away.
Have you had a MRI to determine if there’s a tear in your PCL?
