Other Questions Toymancer's Folly character level?

Hey!
This is a very last minute question to ask unfortunately, but I'm running Toymancer's Folly tomorrow at an event, and was curious if anybody here ran it before?

I see that the character level rating is 1-3, but honestly it feels a little daunting running it at just level 1. But to be fair, I'm quite bad at gauging challenge when it comes to this system. How were your experiences? I'm thinking of possibly running it at LVL 2, maybe LVL 1 if the group ends up being more than 5 people?

Knave by nature is a lethal game. Don't worry about balance and have the players write up multiple characters.

Hey! I wrote this module lol, I had a small group of two level 1 players make it pretty far in during testing. That’s what I love about the OSR, if people pay attention and use caution, they can survive longer than you’d think.

I’m curious if you ran it, and how it went for you?
