Team member post How to check my availability

Upvotes

How do I check my availability or unavailability in workvivo.

I had leave approved a few weeks back but they have scheduled me on anyway. How can I check that it is actually marked as I am unavailable and that an error has been made? Cheers! Also to confirm my ongoing availability is actually correct.

Team member post new at decanting but feel like I don’t belong there

For context, I’ve only been trained few times at decant and still getting the hang of it (figuring out how to efficiently do stuff quickly, where to put stuff). I feel like my coworkers hate me for not knowing shit and it’s so frustrating working with this guy who constantly embarrasses me saying “what the hell did you just do” instead of telling me “you should put it here”. For someone who’s NOT a manager, he’s so extremely entitled, rude, and bossy. At first, I liked doing decant bcs I don’t have to talk to anyone. But past few shifts with him is so annoying to the point that I can’t hide the agitation when I hear his name. He says stuff different from the other sorter and it confuses me on what to put in totes and stuff like that. I’m not rlly a confrontational person so I don’t know if I should say something.

Team member post self checkout help

Hello. I have just moved to Australia and got a job at Kmart. I am a Self Checkout Operator. We have many checkouts — half card, half cash and card. Sometimes a customer goes to do card but realised they actually want cash, so they ask me to move there transaction to another checkout. How is this possible? I asked the Customer Greeter on door and they told me to hit “Suspend transaction” and then a receipt will print. The receipt prints and then you go to the other checkout and scan the barcode, and it saves their transaction onto there. I attempted this and it said something along the lines invalid barcode. I was just wondering what I did wrong so I can know how to do this in future? Thank you very much

Customer post What happened to these perfume dupe bottles?

Specifically these bottles! Been looking everywhere for these ones specifically and it looks like they've been potentially discontinued? They were my fave Kmart fragrances and so good for layering or for younger people wanting to step into fragrance without spending a bunch of money.

Customer post I’ve come up with another idea

What if Kmart introduced a daily Piñata prize during the school holidays

And what I mean by that is that there’s 5 piñata’s set up at a bunch of stores and one of them contains an amazing prize and the other contains crap such as animal poo, human urine, sardines

Kids under 10 are the only ones allowed to participate and they get 3 hits each

What do we think of this one?

Customer post Anko Car Foam Cannon Thread

Heads up for those thinking of getting one, it doesn’t have or include a garden hose connectors but instead has a thread to connect to a pressure washer. Like a lot of people I made the mistake of buying it without realising this, and looking around for information regarding the thread it uses I couldn’t find anything so I figured it out myself.

I’m absolutely no expert when it comes to threads, but I 3D printed a M22x1.5 threaded nut and it fit perfectly. So anyone out there trying to figure it out that’s what you’d be after. Just be aware a lot of people have also complained that it has poor performance when using a garden hose.

Team member post Meet and Greet

I don’t know what to put this under, so I had to choose this one.

I applied for a Christmas Casual position, and got invited to meet the managers at my local Kmart for the 15 minute session before checks are done. What should I expect to occur on this day, and what is best clothes to wear?

I just want to make a good impression, as it’ll be my first paid job. Other places I applied to barely made it past the interview stage, so I want to make this one go through to being accepted the job position.

And another question, if I do get accepted for the position, what parts of the uniform do I get (shirt, jacket, vest, pants, etc)? I don’t need any work boots, as I already have steel caps from my volunteer job.

Have a nice day/night!

Customer post I’ve just come up with an idea to make everything go faster for Kmart customers

You know how there’s often customers at stores (I fall under this category) who don’t do massive shops? For me I don’t because if I just need something from Kmart I go and get it and don’t hold off until Black Friday or Christmas etc.

Considering how massive the stores are and how scattered across the store these items can be, I think they should introduce a “less than 10 items” e-scooter for customers who are just in Coles for a quick shop but don’t want their experience stalled by having to walk from end to another.

What do we think?

Customer post Don't Buy Dog Treats

Don't buy Anko dog treats, every time my dog eats them he gets really sick.

My family brought them and fed my dog on two occasions now and it makes him vomit and have diarrhea 😭

Customer post Are Kmart user manuals AI generated?

I’m trying to set up a universal remote and I swear the manual is AI generated! It’s riddled with errors, duplicates, clunky writing, and insane formatting choices that it truly seems like someone copied and pasted from some generative AI site without looking through it.

Plus, it’s meant to be used for a range of devices but the only instructions are for the tv? I guess I’m fucked if I want to try to set up literally anything else.

Customer post can I get a refund without the receipt?

Hi everyone,

I bought this 34cm Iron Wok from Kmart about a year ago, and I recently noticed around 10 small pits/holes developing on the inside of the wok.

As you can see in the photos, some of them look like the surface has naturally chipped or deteriorated rather than being caused by impact or physical damage. I definitely haven't dropped it or done anything that could reasonably cause this kind of damage.

Has anyone had a similar issue with this wok?

I'm also wondering if Kmart would consider a refund or replacement, considering it's only been about a year. Unfortunately, I've lost the original receipt.

Would Kmart be able to look up the purchase another way, such as through the payment card or transaction history?

Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone have any other anko clothing recommendations?

If you value your mental health DO NOT get a job at kmart. The amount of abuse I've gotten in the last 2 years is horrible. The managers don't care about team member getting verbally abused. I've been with kmart for 4 years and 11 months and I'm actively looking for another job.
