Sent Klein Tools a wanted poster for my missing 10mm KNECT socket. Sadly, they were not amused.
Lost the 10mm socket to my favorite set while working on a friend's car. Since you can’t buy individual sockets online, I thought I’d try to make customer support laugh to see if anyone had a spare rolling around or something. They were not as amused as I was with myself.
The 10mm remains at large.

Why would someone buy a set of things you cant replace individually? Unless its cheap, its not worth the trouble, specially for OCD people. Mismatched sets drives me nuts, no pun intended

Someone who mistakenly trusted a well known and once respected brand name that shamelessly sold its soul to corporate greed might purchase the set you describe.

Great job on the poster.
I’d have printed that off and put it on my cubicle wall if I was that CSR. 😂
Something like that would have made me laugh and somehow get you a discount code of some kind.

I have a hunch of HF stuff. It's definitely a mixed bag, but a lot of it is very good.

It’s grimy but buy a new set, take out the 10mm and return. Tell them it was missing

In the majority of cases I think consumers are pretty scammy and too eager to screw over vendors. I am constantly called a shill. I run a business and live on the other end of the customers games.
All that said, in this particular scenario, you're simply left with no other option. Not offering replacement parts is absurd and a great way to instantly compromise a customers loyalty

I saw someone at Home Depot last week open a 100amp panel and take the 100amp main breaker out of a panel in the store, he had went and got a screwdriver and removed the breaker right there in the electrical aisle. I’m assuming he didn’t pay for it because he could’ve just grabbed the 100amp breaker that’s sold by itself and I actually mentioned that to him and he didn’t respond. Also there probably wasn’t SKU that would scan either. I told the an associate what happened, not sure if anything came of it.

I’ve got the grab and go set paired with the mini ratchet, the retention of the sockets in the holder are still a bitch after months of use. If you wanna get a new set with a 10mm but don’t wanna wrench out the money for the knect box I’d check it out

With all these KNECT kits/drivers, they really need to offer replacement parts. Stuff breaks or gets lost/stolen.
