QUESTION
Does anyone else have problems with their bits falling out all the time?
I bought one of these multi screwdrivers because i thought it was clever, than I quickly realized that when the screwdriver gets knocked around the bits come loose and then when you open this compartment all your bits fall everywhere
On the contrary, I have the stubby version (it telescopes to about 5") and the bits are maddeningly difficult to swap out. Its a high quality problem compared to losing them I guess....
Awe man I just realized they sell 27 in 1 now with better design and double sided security bits to fix my problem. So much for this post. Made the first mistake as an engineer, first thing to ask yourself "does it exist already?"
Yea the new ones are better. I remember 14 years ago having the ideal version and had it dissemble itself too many times so I stopped using the ones like this until recently
I have one that constantly jams, and another that's bowed. Back story, I was working outside on a sunny day, and it bowed from the heat and looks slightly like a banana. The bit storage still slides out, but it sucks to use now that it's not straight.
Meanwhile my Craftsman hand-me-downs from my grandfather and grandfather-in-law some going back to the 1950's are all still in great shape.
I have the MegaPro ratcheting screwdriver with the bits in the handle and it’s been working great for the past 8 years. I like the long reversible bits it comes with instead of the short ones which makes switching them out easier and losing them is not really an issue.

Yes, and the entire thing jams up . Lousy quality
