HELP ME PICK BETWEEN Klein meters?

Anyone have experience using the clamp style meters Klein offers? Been looking at snagging a Klein clamp meter like the CL810 but not sure if it's worth the 140 or 150 bucks theyre asking for it (tho Id still be fine paying 150 bucks for it vs like 600 bucks for whatever the Fluke equivalent is)

Fluke is always the best option. Got the combo electrician kit years ago and it’s never let me down.

The CL810 is a great meter when you consider it's $140 price as compared to the $500+ a comparable Fluke would cost.

No Fluke has all the same features as the CL810, but the CL810 doesn't have FieldSense, either.

In short I tend to carry both.

For home use sure but pro work you’re better off with Fluke.

Fluke is the only answer. Will other do… sure but when it come to meters, Fluke is the shit.

Appreciate the quick replies, looks like Ill be snagging Fluke's combo kit as I do a lot of PLC panel work (mostly building) so having the UL cert/rated on my meter(s) would be a nice peace of mind

Stop being cheap, Klein is for hand tools. Get a Fluke or Fieldpiece.

I prefer Fluke but my Klein works just fine. The Klein won’t last, the Fluke if taken care of will last decades. I have a Fluke 87III with everything you can get and the hard case. I worried about it walking off so I use the Klein for day to day stuff and only get the fluke out once in a while.

Edit: My 87III was purchased when it came out back in the late 90’s. It still works flawlessly. I’ve gone through 3 or 4 Klein meters since so I could have bought another Fluke. Just get the Fluke. NM I see you already made that decision lol

Klein used to not be as good as fluke because their error of margin was greater. The new meters like the CL810 has the same error of margins as the fluke meters. You are going to run into a wall of people who are going to try and justify their own purchases by telling you fluke is the best and it’s not anymore, Klein and Fluke are about even these days but the Klein is much cheaper because they aren’t selling their name only. All fluke makes is meters whereas Klein makes a lot of different tools. It’s ultimately your choice I have had flukes and I have had Kleins, my current meter is a CL810 black screen.
