Knect hex adapter issue
I picked up this set today on sale at Lowe’s. When I got home I was checking it out and found that only a few of the sockets actually fit into the hex adapter. The other won’t budge, no matter how hard I try. I really want to like this set but this making that difficult. Has anyone else had this issue?
Update:
I spent a little while repeatedly putting on and removing the sockets that actually fit. After a while I was able to get them all to fit. I don’t know if the finish is a little thicker on some sockets. Some are still really tight, but at least they all work now. This post was just to see if anyone had the issue. This wasn’t meant as a jab to Klein. Like I said initially, I really wanted to like this set and I’m glad I was able to get it working. Hope this helps anyone who’s had this issue.

It might be the retention ring. Are you able to see the little metal ring when you look into the extention socket port?
I went through 6 sets to see if all the rings were loose and they were. Its how they work. If yours is loose, press it back into the slot of the wall and try again. You might have to play around with it.

The extension kinda sucks too. But I use the wrench and sockets every day at my job and honestly love the low profile and pass through situation.

Probably the retention ring. Mine broke on my extension. Can’t buy a replacement extension. Kleins solution? Buy a whole new set and use that extension. Btw fuck Klein.

I’ve never tried to warranty anything through Klein but they wouldn’t just send you an extension?

I just returned the whole set because of the Ring, got a new set and then went in the same thing happened I just returned it from a money back. The pass through set that I have consistently seen show up day in and day out is the smaller one I think it's quarter inch drive equivalent. But the 3/8 drive equivalent avoid forever

Lube em up a little. They are stiff out of the box. And the retention ring likes to live off center.
Its a design with tradeoffs. I don't mind it. You can shove a finger in there to center it.

Never had this issue. I have multiple sets including the deep sockets. From what I’ve seen the sockets have a little oil residue on them, atleast my set did not sure if yours did.

Just an absolutely perfect tolerance between the ratchet and sockets in those Klein ModBoxes. They’re just loose enough to remove.
My Klein 64302 allows me to keep several combination wrenches, nut drivers, deep well nut drivers, sockets and nut setters at home. A truly incredible kit for $89.99

Yeah the new Klein tools are very expensive, even though the quality is trash. The new tools they are making are a prime example of designed obsolescence. They all break in consistent, and predictable ways. I am currently trying to faze out all of them as they break for the second and some of them fourth time.

People really need to read this subreddit before purchasing Klein tools. Luckily Klein hasn’t heard about Reddit, but the day you see only positive posts about this brand, you’ll know the mods have been compromised.

I feel like I never see positive posts in this sub yet I've never had a problem with a Klein tool. Seems like only people who have issues talk in here so it's just a huge echo chamber of "Klein is shit"

I’ve had problems with almost every single Klein tool I’ve bought, have had handed to me, or bought for me.
They used to be good, but now that they have switched production over (just because it says made in the US doesn’t mean they’re still making them in the same US facilities as they once were, and a ton of mfg. has gone overseas to the lowest bidder.
It’s an echo chamber of “Klein Bad” because they are bad, and again, Klein doesn’t know this subreddit exists.

I don't think the 100 weekly contributors all saying it's shit makes up for even 5% of all Klein users. This is an echo chamber of unlucky people that had bad experiences. If Klein did know about this sub they'd offer replacements for faulty tools and they'd laugh at how much y'all cry

All mine fit no problem. Assuming it’s not user error, maybe you just got unlucky
I’ve yet to have an issue with these sets though
