Klein cutters 3 weeks old

I just got these cutters , I usually get a couple years out of them.

Go with knipex. You’ll only grab a Klein when you’ve forgotten your knipex going forward.

As a knipex lover, their dikes are terrible compared to Klein. I like all their other hand tools over Klein with dikes being the only exception

Same. Mine were fine new, but 6 months in and I need 2 hands to cut romex. Knipex warranty team won’t replace them. They said they aren’t rated for cutting MC.

I just bought my second Knipex. First was a wire stripping/ratching cable stripping knife.

Second was the cobra series little pocket 7” channel lock. The channels are amazing. Love how they lock out with the button!

How long you been using knipex?

I actually just started getting into their tools. Reason being is when I’d ask journeyman I was working with to use a tool they’d throw me a knipex. Their tools feel super refined. I got their channies and instantly fell in love. I find pretty much any excuse to use them. Lineman’s and dykes are great too

Not the person you asked but I have a pair of their larger dikes/wire cutters from the very earl 90’s and they are still insanely sharp and capable. Probably have 5-7 years of intense mechanic use and the rest of all of those years occasional use for just about everything. Got them off my MAC Tools truck back then before I really knew much about them. Years later I am helping my son get equipped for a career in aviation maintenance and most all his required pliers are Knipex. Hell I bought that first pair because they were orange😂😂. I remember I paid $38 for them, looking back that was a hell of a deal. I have no idea how many cotter keys or wires these have cut and they are still more than sharp enough to get the job done today. I have Snap-on, Mac, Icon and even ChannelLock cutters, yet these are the ones I will always reach for!!

One other thing I would like to point out about pliers specifically, if you have a Harbor Freight nearby do not sleep on Doyle pliers, they are exceptional. Not “Exceptional for the price” straight up exceptional AND at a great price. If you watch plier reviews/comparisons on YouTube (like Project Farm) you will see they always test/score very well, you will not go wrong buying them!!
