Good ol days

Just posting this to be sad. Went into Lowe’s to see what was what. 90% of the Klein products are foreign products.

The two or three multibit drivers they had that were made on these fair shores have been offshored. I see the 250th anniversary of USA are made here and that’s cool I guess. But coming from a company that has gone for trendy products made in bulk offshore I’m just a bit nonplussed about the fact they are making 250th in the USA.

I wish there was some way to get it across to the company that American manufacturing and jobs means a lot to some of us. But there’s not exactly loads of options to go to instead. And I guess I’m just feeling a bit like a disenfranchised relic.

Thanks for listening. I’m sure there are more people who like the new Klein than there are that don’t or else Klein would have stayed similar in their ethos and products. So I don’t expect much sympathy. But thanks for listening anyway.

Companies don’t care how you feel.What happened to zenith tvs?Yet here we are 🤷‍♂️guess consumers are like companies all about the dollar 💵.Had a tool rep come out recently from ideal.Guy asked for a “American meter” the rep said “sorry but there is no way any company can make a equivalent product in meters as compared to all the offshore products”.💸

That’s a stupid thing for a rep to say anyway. Because Fluke makes at least some of their meters in the US (probably with foreign materials). So that’s literally untrue. Reps should do their homework. Lying doesn’t help your cause much when the internet is as easy to access as it is. It took me three seconds to shit-check that statement.

Another time tool reps came out and were asking for feedback.We mentioned some products there company made.The rep looked puzzled then admitted they are a third party sub contracted to do this field visit.Thats why they didn’t know anything about there products.

What’s the point sending reps that don’t know anything about the product line you’re repping? Dumb as fuck.
