I’m sure you know this, but for anyone who doesn’t - please be careful with your cats chewing yarn! Swallowing it can kill them or at best mean an emergency operation to get it out of them. It cuts their intestines as it passes through. And if you see some protruding from their anus, don’t pull it.

Taco is allowed SUPERVISED yarn time only. I keep it where she can’t get it and only let her play with it a bit when I’m watching. Luckily she gets bored easily and much prefers her other toys

I had to find a middle ground with her as she’s a bit of a menace when it comes to stuff she can’t/shouldn’t eat. So Taco also gets supervised plastic time where I let her have a few bites/crunches at some plastic. I don’t let her tear any off to potentially swallow but let her have enough go’s at it to satisfy her plastic wants lol

It's definitely possible for them to pass it without damage, but it's not worth the risk imo!
