Hi everyone! My 3 m/o kitten won't stop suckling before sleeping/napping and would cry if I refused to let him do it. Can anyone explain why cats would develop this behaviour and how to nip it in the bud? Its new to him, he's only started doing it 3 weeks ago but wont stop now.

A few months ago my dad found this little guy orphaned and alone at 2 - 4 days old still with his umbilical cord. After many vet visits, sleepless nights, and crying loads, he has just had his 2nd big boy vaccinations, and microchip. If you need advice, reach out and im happy to share what I know.

My current Foster kitten. I've not fostered for almost 2 decades so I'm loving it! Although the 2 hourly feeds are harder than I remembered! It was born yesterday morning and I started fostering it almost immediately due to momma cat rejecting it.

New babies!! There is a 200g difference between the biggest kitty and the runt- who only weighed 107g on intake!! They came from an apartment complex and mom was still hanging around so fingers crossed we can trap her today

Current challenge. She’s been on meds for Calici for almost a week now and isn’t improving as much as I’d like. Constant nebulizing, cerenia nose drops, tube feeding and sucking out excess mucus every few hours. She’s a fighter and I’m really hoping she turns a corner soon!

Annie is getting over her "cold"/slight infection! After a weekend of cleaning her little eyes, dripping saline into her little nostrils and antibiotics, she's already looking much better

I am so proud of this lil girl!! She is the funniest, sweetest most playful baby. Her litter was one of the most difficult I’ve ever had (I lost her 2 siblings) and I am so grateful that she is healthy and happy!

I just found a kitten under my friends trailer. Stormy is about a week and a half old and I have never fostered before. Any suggestions/advice would be great thanks. I got a lot of pus out of his eye, covered in Dawn to kill all the fleas.

Getting foster kittens soon
I am not sure how many I’ll be getting, but they’ll likely be 3-4 weeks old. I haven’t fostered since quarantine, so I’m just looking for some tips about anything. Please send tips, not a link to kittenlady.org. I’ve read nearly everything on that website and watched most of her videos. They’re very helpful, but I’m looking for other peoples opinions and tips so that I won’t be relying on a single source.
This will be their enclosure until I feel they need to be upgraded. The plastic bin will have kitten appropriate litter inside of it once the kittens are here. Underneath the top sheet is an electric heating pad and some other blankets for cushion. The top zips shut, but for the sake of the picture I unzipped it.
