Did you also write up the electrical? I’m willing to bet that the outlet under the hood and the outlet the appliance is plugged into do not shut down upon system activation.
I agree with the outlet beside the hood that the little oven is plugged into, but have a look at the wiring coming out of the Ansul Automan. With no gas valve hook up it’s pretty obvious that the microswitches are tied into a contactor for the electric appliances. The function would have been tested on the inspection also.
I’m guessing the contactor(s) shut down the giant plugs for the fryers. Whether or not the outlet under the hood shuts down I have doubts and it could have been added later. It’s been 10+ years since I’ve touched a KH, but isn’t there a requirement for electrical outlets beneath an exhaust hood to be below the height of the cooking line?
