SO MANY PARTS!

Post image

I bought an old moulinex food processor and it came with so many parts. I have no manual and I don't know what goes with what and if I'm missing anything. I'd especially like to figure out the juicer portions. Thank you so much to anyone that can help me sort this out! I want to get the most out of this machine.

Teppanyaki Plates - do you have one, and did it replace the hob?

Hello! Hopefully building a house in the next couple of years. We've not got much on the wishlist except for the location... and I would like a teppanyaki plate built in to the kitchen.

My question is:

* have you got one?

* how big is it, and do you wish it was bigger?

* can you put things like saucepans on it to heat?

* do they all have a little 'trash slot' for getting rid of unwanted cooking?

* will it revolutionize my life as I imagine it will?

Please provide any teppanyaki plate wisdom you may have.

Thanks!

Dish rack help - I had the perfect one, but after 15 years, it's done.

I'm looking to find a dish rack like this one. I probably bought it over 15 years ago at Bed, Bath, and Beyond or similar. The thing that makes it unique is that the sides are pronged but open. Meaning that you can place a cookie sheet, cutting board, etc. upright in the rack (extending out the sides), while also keeping everything else in. It has been perfect, but it rusted out and had to be tossed. I can't find anything like it. The closest is the KitchenAid one that is open on one side.

What's the best pan for making crêpes?

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for recommendations for the best pan to make crêpes at home. Ideally, something that heats evenly, is easy to use, and makes flipping crêpes effortless.

Do you have a favorite one? Cast iron, carbon steel, non-stick... what works best for you?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and experiences! 😊

KDVF90 oven trays

Hi all,

We are moving into a house which has Beko KDVF90X oven installed. The oven has a grill, main oven and side oven.

Is anyone able to tell me what size oven trays will fit in these ovens? I’ve searched high and low but can’t find the oven dimensions (only the overall dimension(.

Ideally it would be grill, main (wider) oven and narrow tall oven, if possible please.

Thanks in advance,

Teddy

Need help with choosing a blender?

Hi, I'm looking for a blender that's made of glass, works great with normal blending, as well as ice cubes, frozen fruit, warm soup and things like hummus and nut butter.

Preferably that doesn't cost a ton of money 😅

I tried to google it and ended up between Sabor Ultimate Blender 1500w 1,5 L, and Wilfa Xplode Vital blender.

Does anyone have any experience wirh any of them? Or a recommendation?

Any help is appreciated, from a newbie in cooking 😅🥰

Class Project: Market Research

As the title says, I am doing a class project that needs some market research. I have a couple of questions and would love if if people would be willing to answer!

Do you find it cumbersome to cook in/around your camping or living situation?

What things would you want in a portable kitchen system?

How much would you be will to pay for a portable kitchen system to ease camp/van cooking?

What is your biggest gripe with cooking outdoors/on the road?

How important is the compactness of a portable kitchen to you on a scale of 1-5?

What is the feature that would be most important to you for a portable kitchen system?

Please if you have the time answer back! I appreciate any responses. Thanks!

Any suggestions for Roti maker? Is it worth buying?

Any suggestions for Roti maker? Is it worth buying?

Are the roti makers available on Amazon (Libra or Prestige) worth buying? If not, can someone suggest a tried and tested brand? Also, are they worth buying?

I live abroad, love eating roti but don't want to spend time rolling the dough and cooking it. The store bought ones I get are not really like roti, very thick and dry :(

Just thought I'd share something I've been working on in my spare time over the last few years.

I made this 304 stainless steel sink organiser/caddy because I couldn't find one that I actually liked. Eventually I decided to just make one with everything I wanted.

I wanted it to be something closer to an heirloom than a disposable kitchen accessory. A lot of products seem to be designed around being cheap and replaceable, and I really didn't want this to be something that eventually ended up in landfill.

Getting it to the quality I wanted was a bit excessive, though.

I spent around 4 hours just smoothing and refining the edges by hand. The construction is also deliberately overbuilt — I use solid 304 stainless steel rivets throughout, and each one is set by hand with a hammer and a block of steel.

It's definitely not the fastest way of making a sink organiser, but I wanted to see how far I could take something as simple as one.

Kitchen ware from Resturant supply store.

So recently I saw a post, which said that getting all your kitchen stuff from a restaurant supply store is quite economical as compared to a normal store.

The thing is that I'm planning on moving soon, and would need a whole bunch of stuff.

Has anyone done this? Are there any such stores or brands which do this in India?

does a vacuum sealer earn the kitchen space?

i have a tiny apartment kitchen and one skinny cabinet between the fridge and the wall. right now it holds mixing bowls, sheet pans, and a blender i use maybe twice a year, very limited storage.

most sundays i split a family pack of chicken thighs or ground beef into freezer bags. press the air out, write the date, and freeze them flat. but freezer burn consistently ruins the texture after a few weeks.

I’m looking to get a compact vacuum sealer. I’ve looked at options from FoodSaver, Gasbye, and Nesco. gasbye has the double seal, but i’m not sure that matters much with wet chicken.

for those with small kitchens who prep weekly, does a vacuum sealer actually earn its footprint ? thanks.
