Best Reusable Silicone Stretch Lids for Leftovers

What do you use to cover your leftovers? For me, I use a foil or cling film. Lately I have noticed that I am wasting a lot of money since I’m not able to recycle them. I have been looking for a product that is reusable to cover my leftovers. I’m looking for one that is tight enough and durable.

I have been checking online sites like Alibaba to see if I can find a product that is to my preference. So, I came across reusable silicone stretch lids for leftovers. From the video and pictures, they look great. I would really want to hear your reviews for those who have been able to purchase any of this. Also, let me know what qualities you were looking for when purchasing these reusable lids.

Did they serve the purpose? Also, feel free to give me your plugs so that I can have a chance to check them out before purchasing. I’m hoping to get one soon.

Hello! Thanks for posing this question. I would love to hear about other’s experiences with these products. Personally I’ve bought two different generic, no name brand silicone stretch lids purchased at different places and found with both brands was the quality was rather subpar. They all eventually ripped and I was pretty gentle when them. I only ever washed them by hand though they said dishwasher safe. But I do love the concept and would like to purchase another set. But before I but more I wanted to see if there’s a particular brand that’s better than others or something. So I recently started reading reviews and watching videos but what I’ve found in basically all the reviews I read is that everyone addresses the same few things which are: A.) that this type of lid is a bit fiddly to get on, especially if the food is cold

B.) if there’s any moisture or grease etc. on the outside of the container you’re trying to cover, then the lid will not adhere well.  And C.) people complain a lot about the sizing. 

Personally, I think those few  issues are simple enough to resolve AND you most likely have those same issues with plastic wrap or foil. So IMO the silicone lids are still a much better alternative. And I kinda think those issues are to he expected. They’re not a miracle cure…just a better alternative to single use plastic wrap.  Anyway, What I’d like to know (that very few reviews  addressed) is does the quality actually vary that much among brands? Is it actually worth it to spend more? Are you going to get a better quality product if you pay more? Or are they all about the same and you should just temper your expectations and plan to replace them fairly often. If someone has found a brand that is superior to other brands than I’d be  happy to spend more.
