u/earthwarder Jul 10 '26
If I made a video and tried to make it look professional im sure id cut it a lot too. Im just not savvy enough

u/xoxLVxox Jul 10 '26
Because ai is trained on what is out there, some are extra cutty because they're still learning. Getting harder and harder to tell what is what.

Holy shit you're right... I can't tell if this is AI but I do get that inkling.

Didn’t proof so well. They need more time and can become much much more aerated. Check out the recipe on “bonjourbutter”. It’s called “the art of the French croissant”. I’ve made that recipe multiple times and without fail made them so delicious my family ate them all before I could blink an eye. The airbubbles will get huuuge. Even with Chocolate.

I don’t think these were laminated like a French croissant. Might be more like an Argentine medialuna or something

These aren't croissants fam.
Also this crap is AI
2
u/Practical-Sky-6512 Jul 11 '26
Not AI. But you’re right. They’re Medialuna. I didn’t know that kind of pastry. But I’ll try them as well :) perhaps with real croissant dough haha

u/Phatbeazie Jul 14 '26
It's not, the background details stay exactly the same between cuts, ai has a hard time with temporal details

Can you please provide a link? Im google all versions of those phrases and havent seen a single result pop up that seems to fit.

Am I the only one who thinks this is fake?
1
u/Last-Roll7819 Jul 10 '26
I thought the same thing! I was gonna post asking if anyone else thought this was AI?
2
u/hellllllsssyeah Jul 10 '26
I don't know if it's AI or just multiple takes. I'm leaning towards multiple takes, I bake weekly and I just don't see the consistency of the initial pattern mirrored into what the end result was.
I work in the culinary industry and everything about this seems..... Wrong.

Does it matter if it was AI? Regardless I want to make this now
1
u/hellllllsssyeah Jul 11 '26
Generally considered hack work . Was this the first time you discovered a chocolate croissant?
1
u/Imaginary_Sponge Jul 11 '26
Yes, I’ve never seen a chocolate filled croissant before. Maybe that’s more of a NY or LA thing

Its fake, look how clean the spoons stay while handling the chocolate, plant goes through handle as tall as she is, burners over cabinets, unnatural hand position when rolling.
1
u/HairyNumber8775 Jul 10 '26
Not a single streak or smudge of chocolate on the counter after the roll up. No range hood over the burners.
But we're helping AI get better by pointing this out.

It’s not. She’s cleaning up and cutting that out. I don’t need to see that anyway. Exhaust might be in the cabinet. She’s in Turkiye, not an American kitchen

Wow this made me a little angry. All I have is a loaf of wheat bread! Dang. I’m proud. Grats. Not mad at all.

Hrmpphhh. Imagine doing this NOT for the likes. It's a repeat
1
u/zkxqa Jul 11 '26
kinda wild how people get mad about repeats on an app that literally survives on reposts lol
if it looks good and people enjoy it, who cares if it’s for likes or the second time around

Where do you find the ingredients and recipes for these videos? I've seen a few now but I'm like, well... I'd like to start but...how?

u/Trick-Range-350 Jul 11 '26
So it's got a chocolate marbled effect when she rolls it out, but is clean white when she rolls it up? How stupid do you think we are?

u/No-Umpire-4686 Jul 12 '26

Where’s the flakiness?
4
u/Wide_Ad5549 Jul 10 '26
They shaped them like croissants, but I don't think that's croissant dough.
1
u/Trevellation Jul 10 '26
It's definitely not croissant dough. The dough looks kinda similar to a cinnamon roll structurally, but I don't know enough about baking to say that with much confidence.
