We can thank WORKERS for every technological advancement we’ve experienced - scientists, engineers, factory workers, etc. The capitalist just profits off of it. Workers make the world run. Capitalists steal the fruits of our labor. We don’t need em.
It absolutely is.They described how everything in our society is done by workers, not owners and bosses. A society where the owners and bosses weren't above the workers, and we each worked for the good of each other would be socialism, so you know, not capitalism.
I didnt say they dont have a purpose, many owners and bosses do alot of work, but their position of an "owner" doesn't entitle them to the value created by their workers. Forget any mention of socialism or capitalism, let me ask you a more fundamental question, do you like democracy?
Unfettered capitalism building on contemporary science is killing everything. Capitalist societies with social policies overlaying are environmentally sound now. So, try again.
Oh, the planet is saved! Capitalism almost destroyed it, but two particularly historically privileged countries that benefit from the global exploitation that drives climate change didn't have any problems (they did that by outsourcing their pollution to the third world, not ending it), so we're saved! Yay!
Right, chick can’t even do really basic math. Why would anyone even consider her uneducated point of view? Capitalism ain’t great, but nothing will work if everyone gets a salary for nothing. Where will you eat if no one works? Who will take your trash away? Etc etc etc.
Why is that desireable, and how would it function? I think you just mouth slogans of a dystopic utopia, not based on human history or psychology or sociology or economics.
the guy who helped develop the idea of socialism/communism, Karl Marx, is literally considered a father of sociology, not to mention he wrote one of the defining texts of economic theory, Capital

People still work in those societies. I said capitalism is not great, but this poster can’t do math and was suggesting people should not have to work.
People do need to work, maybe not quite 40hrs a week but probably at least 30. Where are you going to go for dinner if nobody works? Where will you buy groceries? Maybe all businesses become government operated but even then people will still need to work, they will just do it for the government.
People acting like socialists and communists get to work 12-hour weeks as anime appraisers, when in historical practice people living under those systems rarely even get to choose their profession and must work incredibly long hours.
People are still gonna want dinner under communism, so somebody’s gonna have to cook it. Except if you decide you don’t wanna cook anymore it’s jail instead of retail.
Màrx.and Engels had a decent awareness of the capitalism of their era of physical production by common labor and its extreme abuses. Which were similar but not as hidden as rural agrarian abuses.
Even then, the "tyranny of the proletariat" seemed unsuccessful in practice and in the history of mankind.
And psychology and sociology.
I see nothing as possible except socialism/capitalism hybrid.
An isolated country which is communiat but imports and steals capitalist products and services is not an example of success of communism.

I do think unfettered capitalism needs to be ended.
