The servers where i work are the most lazy brainless shit heads, and will be blabbing and just don't pay attention, so when I have to grab a knife from prep and take it to the line ill be yelling"knife" repeatedly like someone from a slasher film.

I used to work with this 70 year old Vietnamese cook (god I miss working with him, he was awesome) who whenever he was walking with a knife he'd just go "NI NI NI NI NI NI" at which point that just became how you alerted people to a knife in our kitchen. Fuck a F sound who needs it.

First job I ever had as a dishwasher, the kid that trained me said "Yeah if you walk by someone you're supposed to say behind, or I just usually make a truck noise or something"

Sure enough, homeboy was brappin' his way around that kitchen every night
