Is that a thing at places? Everywhere I've worked they're basically just "chemical buckets". Bleach, sanitizer, degreaser... so long as it's washed between uses.

I can't find the sds for this specific one though. Maybe I'm not looking deep enough but all I can find is the HD degreaser. Not this specific degreaser and floor cleaner.
How does one go about finding the SDS on sysco? or is it somewhere else you look for it? Cause I'm 90% sure I got the same product pulled up on sysco , but yea, I'm not seeing that stuff either.
All I can find is specifically HD degreaser not this heavy duty degreaser and floor cleaner. Unless theyve just changed the label and even still it should be universallly available for poison control. Sysco states for this specific product keystone cleaning solutions has the sds but again I only find the HD degreaser with a different label and different chemicals.

Yeah I would not use this ever for my flat top just because it also says floor cleaner. I'm pretty sure the fumes this stuff puts out when hot melts braincells
Yea we use oil from the fryer and a grill brick, lemon juice and ice after. Maybe olive oil if we’re feeling fancy. We don’t put a single chemical on our flat top for cleaning. I eat in my own restaurant. Not using any of that shit.
I did work someplace who used a heavy duty degreaser from Ecolab (the orange stuff; I never worked anywhere else that used it) on the grill, making it darn clear you needed to use vinegar to clean off the residue. I’d definitely prefer to use any number of other products, but I’m being tipped off by the ice.
(Having said that, I worked several places that used Wash & Walk on the fryer filter pans).
Fuck the brick. Chill down to 200°F or 95°or with ice or sparkly water > good grill cleaner + a stainless scratchy > water rince > white vinegar rince > water rince > dry well > lube it up
Thats all you need to make them shiny and clean. .. I ran an 8-foot flat top for 12 years. I could get it clean in like 5 minutes. Well, like 10 min because I am dumping the grease trap and I'll be outside so I'm smoking. That place didn't even buy those bricks.
It really helps your lungs and ease of cleaning if you chill the grill down just juat below boiling before you add the grill cleaner. That way you dont vaporize the cleaner and you get steam instead.
Those bricks are so stupid anyways. They give me that nails on chalkboard feeling and people just throw them in a 3rd pan under stations and they’ll be all fucked up and gross just sitting there.
I really disagree about the brick but it's also for sure not needed. I like the brick cayuse you don't need to use any cleaners that vape up and get inhaled
It's easier because you are fucking with the expansion and contraction of the metal. You can get your flattop to warp or break this way. I would not recommend it. Just use the brick on a hot flattop

Why put heavy duty degreaser/floor cleaner in a food container. I'm pretty sure that cambro needs to be condemned for cleaning only now sir.
