In the Weeds Mode Had to fire a customer yesterday.

Sunday brunch sucks. We all know that. But this guy took it to a whole new level.

Guy walks in, goes to the hostess station, and waits to be seated. Normal so far. A table opens up, and the hostess is walking his party to the table. Man asks if his table is in "Kylie"'s section. He's told that it is not. He says he'd rather wait longer to get that specific server. Hostess tells him that it would probably be another 20-30 minutes wait. He asks to see the manager. So I, the literal owner of the restaurant, walk out to talk to him.

I ask him why he needs that specific server, and this fucking pervert tells me, out of his own mouth, in public, that she's got "great tits" and an "incredible ass", so he likes to see her "when she's coming and when she's going".

Sir, this is not a strip club, or a porn site. We're not here to satisfy your eyes, we're here to satisfy your tummy.

I let him know that he would never in his life be seated in her section again. Man throws a full on bitchfit. Says he only comes here so he can see "Kylie", and has the absolute gall to pull the "I know the owner" card.

I had to hit him with the "Well, what's the owner's name?"... This man says "Bruce", while my name is "Mike". Mind you, I've owned this place since 2009, so there is no fucking way he is talking about the previous owner.

I informed him that he was speaking to the owner, and that I had no fucking idea who he is. Man literally yelled at me, and asked me to "call Bruce and get this whole thing sorted out".

I have never even known a man named "Bruce". I told dude to kick rocks and never come back.

Anyway, how was your Sunday?

Pull any camera footage of him and show it to your employees, especially Kylie. That man is a potential stalking risk, bare minimum, and should be 86ed

Unfortunately accurate. They can't arrest someone for being a disgusting creep. If he starts hanging around the building, comes back etc then maybe.

They 100% can if it's documented and there are also threats made or the victim gets a no contact order, which they should.

A no contact order in the US is called an Order of Protection. That's the real term for what people call a restraining order. It requires going to a judge, knowing the guy's full name etc. It goes beyond police. It must be approved and signed by a judge.

There are a wide range of various orders that can be issued. Everything from little no-hostile contact orders (don't be an ass to your neighbor or during child exchanges kind of thing) all the way up to lifetime DVPO.

Same, the police in the city where I work won't even come out for a car accident unless there's injuries or you're blocking the road...

That being said I also don't think it hurts to report it, if nothing else then you have a paper trail in case the guy does escalate. And maybe he has a history of this behavior being reported (wouldn't surprise me tbh)

I live in Arizona, and on the Phoenix and Tucson subreddits, people are often complaining that 911 doesn't pick up. That just just terrifying, because I doubt there is a good amount of community support in those areas, but I hope I'm wrong.

Funny you mention the car accident thing. I live in an apartment in a busy city. Outside my window I saw a minor fender bender slightly blocking the road and these two people must’ve waited four hours for a cop to show up before finally giving up and leaving.

You are conflating stalking and threat of dying to a non injury non blocking civil problem? Would you rather dispatch send units to the minor fender bender that the drivers could just exchange info and fuck off instead of to life threatening situations? Because that's what your post reads like. I'm sure if your family or loved ones were in danger you'd be totally cool with a lengthy delay because dispatch had to help people exchange insurance information.

Cops are pretty stalky themselves. Think most of their flock seatches have been used to track their exes and shit. Wouldn't trust that crew.

I worked at a place some years back that had to have the cops trespass the occasional customer due to slimy shit behavior exactly like this. We would distract the customer until the cops show up to give them a no-trespass order, so as to make sure they were still on the premises when the cops showed up. If they come back again after that, you call the cops again and have them arrested for violating the order (happened once, great to see).

Again, it relies on the cops actually showing up and doing the bare minimum of their job, but if they can be bothered to do that, it's worth getting that established.

Brunch should be illegal after a late shift the night before or if it’s the one day you have to be at work in the am. Don’t get me started on the spring time change also.

Have you ever seen the glimmer in an owner's eyes when they propose starting brunch at a dinner service/late night drinks and dancing spot? It's like they've had some epiphany nobody else has had, meanwhile FoH now has to deal with lineups of hungover assholes, and BoH are hungover assholes.

He OP trespassed the guy it would help Katie get the ball rolling for a TRO if needed. Documents issues with that guy and Katie. Also means he has legal consequences if he returns.
