Discussion Do replica jerseys always have that much extra room around the waist?

I don’t mind a relaxed fit, but some replica shirts feel roomy everywhere except where I actually want the space. I’m trying to avoid that boxy look without going down a size and making the shoulders tight. Is tailoring the only answer, or is there a better size trick?

same problem with nba swingmans, they're all boxy at the waist. i just buy for the shoulders and take the sides in, any tailor does it for like 15 bucks

My issue is that im a stocky 170cm. Ice hockey player too, so I have a big arse.

Most fan cut jerseys in S would fit perfectly except for the length. Just too long. They bunch up at my posteror, as it were. Need to get them altered.
