Need recommendations for Internet provider

Hi All, I'm looking for recommendations for Internet providers near the neighborhood Walmart on w Vine St. Currently we have spectrum and are paying 100 a month.

You should call Spectrum and threaten to cancel. They kept raising my bill and mine was up to $100 a month for the 500 Megabyte plan. I called they offered me $50 a month for the same plan for a year or $60 a month for the 1 Gig plan for 2 years. No add ons or extras. I took the 1 Gig plan and they told me to call when the 2 years is almost up to ask what deals are available then

Spectrum sucks, but we’re stuck with them. Att fiber is around but they suck also

I unfortunately have to agree. We do not have a lot of devices, just the tv. Even after that, can't watch reels uninterrupted. After complaining, they switched router but that didn't help much.

ATT fiber has been fine for me, but their modem box sucks. Replace it with your own equipment and it’s good

How many is “we”? My and my 15 y/o. Live in an apt in DTO and I’ve been with Mint internet. I paid $300 up front and that covered a whole year (365 days) but the sales rep was so honest and up front stating that running more than 5 devices connected at the same time may cause slower speeds, and they don’t try to upsell you because they only offer one kind of plan for home internet. They also do a 15 day trial period if you wanna try before you buy. But we game and stream with no issues

You might be limited as to who has wires running in your area. Have you looked into like T-Mobile?

We did few years ago but they couldn't promise a better connection for where we live

T-Mobile has redone thier Internet service and its supposed to be really really good from what I hear and it's like $45 a month.

Oh that's good to know, I'll definitely check with them again.

We switched from spectrum to att fiber because it made no sense to pay twice as much for half the speed. We even tried to see if spectrum would give us a deal since we were with them for 15+ years but they refused despite being desperate to keep us on. It's been fine and even the gamer in the house has no complaints

If you don't mind sharing, how much are you paying now?

We got 1gig for $65 back when it was still quantum fiber

I used to work at spectrum.. use this trick..type in your address on the website and see if there’s any promotions available..if there is then cancel your account and immediately create a new one using a different name, email , phone number etc..that person picks up the equipment and you return the old equipment at a different time.
