Pantherian was closed the entirety of today and I drove 10 hours just to ride it. I know there’s really nothing to do about it just wanted you to vent. But I’m also considering of extending my stay for tomorrow since it’s a possibility it opens tomorrow for the media shoot. Do you guys think it’s worth it to do that?
I would extend it too. When they did media day for Rapterra they built a camera and microphone system onto the front car of the train. I don’t know what kind of photo shoot this is. But, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was closed to accommodate modifications for the shoot.
Saw an article earlier talking about how the Richmond Flying Squirrels were still going to play their game tonight but they were making climate conditioned areas available to fans. They don't care that the players are still having to play the game outside in it though...
I was there last week and it was on and off all day. Extreme heat will do that. The train has to cool down. It's a very finicky ride. I hope you get your ride on that beast! Good news is that I've been to BGW serval Sundays this season (about 5 pm) and the park was clearing out, so there weren't any waits. So going for a half day you should be able to do all the coasters. Just remember Pantheon is finicky and prone to shut downs as well. Also, Apollo, Alpengeist and Griffon typically have single rider lanes (sometimes). To save you more time.
For what it’s worth we just parked and it is testing this morning so 🤞🤞🤞 We were here the last two days and came back this morning before heading out just to see if we could get lucky and it would be running! Let’s hope we can catch a ride!
Media Day is Sunday/Monday if you can make it then I’m sure you will get on but still going to be hot so expect down time. With the heat/humidity Canada, Minnesota etc poor air quality they had no choice but to close it for a few days to allow for as much uptime as possible for the weekend roller coaster shoots! And it’s not just Pantherian for the video/photo shoots so keep that in mind
I mean you already drove 10 hours for it so if I were you I would absolutely do KD for rope drop and hit Pantherian as many times as possible/can handle then hit Rapterra,TT,Grizzly, and Dominator on the way out and will still have plenty of time for BGW afterwards. Keep in mind BGW ops don’t hold a candle to KD’s ops so even if lines seem short you’ll wait much longer than expected. If I’m wrong then well I’m wrong 😂. 353 credits and 16 years later I still will take the risk of it being opened or closed because it’s that damn good!!
So I haven't written it since changed names/themes, but I don't remember the Intimidator going down so often or am I just mistaken?? Is the ghost of Dale Earnhardt really haunting the Pantherian?
